Forum Classics #2: Chris Martin speaks?
What would Chris Martin think if he saw your site? That’s the biggest criticism thrown at the Church of Chris Martin by the UNBELIEVING HEATHENS (like the hated COLDPLAYING.COM). He wouldn’t want to be treated like a god, they say! He would think you guys were creepy!
But would he? What if Chris Martin saw the Church of Chris Martin website and liked it, enough to write something in the Forum?
Did it really happen? Well, just maybe…

You could be Gwyneth Paltrow! I’ve never met you or seen a photograph. I think you realised that, and that’s why you added NO at the end, to make sure I didn’t think you were Gwyneth. Perhaps the Lady doth protest too much!
By the way, Gwyneth, this is a web SITE, not a SIGHT. SIGHT is when you see something - and there is obviously much that you are not seeing!

And Nettie, Jesus did not read “the Bible”. The Bible is a medieval term for the old and new testaments together, some of which wasn’t even written until the late second century, over two centuries after Jesus’ death. Jesus would have read the Torah, the Hebrew scriptures which later became the Old Testament, or less likely its Greek translation, the Septuigint.
That’s to sidestep the issue of whether he could actually read. As a poor carpenter’s son (according to tradition, if not the Bible itself) this would be extremely unlikely. More probably, he had learned the orally transmitted traditions.
