Da Vinci’s Code

Hey Chris-heads!

The movie of Da Vincis Code is out this week, and I just wondered what you guys thought about it?

Personally, I think theirs a lot of symbolism in that book!! The characters were really well drawn, but I sometimes found the vocabulary a little difficult.

Have you ever considered, that there might be a code buried in it? He says that Jesus and Mary Magdalane had kids - one boy, one girl - but obviously, that’s not true, so maybe it’s not really Jesus at all. Maybe its… Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow!

Seriously - is Dan Brown a Chris-head? And what about Richie from Happy Days?!

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

Nice theory, Heiro!

I’m looking forward to seeing the film - only so I can annoy Catholics!!!

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

I still have to watch it.. soon! But I know most of the speculative research underlying Dan Browns book.

Dan Brown really made a mess with jumping on the wrong train with Priory de Sion which is cleary a fraud or deception of some kind.

The real story of Christ is way more mind-boggling.

I do think CM and GP are some incarnation of what I’d call the “christ & mary pattern”. An archetypal role that needs a spotlight combined with deep divine inspiration. CM has it all!

The secret has been kept since thousands of years from the people who wouldn’t understand. The Jesus story was a gigantic ‘hit’ in the ‘pop culture’ back then, performed and written by the same Spirit that moves now Chris Martin.

Re: Da Vinci’s Code
I know why chris martin named his daughter Apple. apple is the symbol for the woman, the sacred feminine, inseminated womb. (I’m sorry for my mediocre english!)

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

That is so true!!!!1!!

So Moses represents the Patriarchal idea. And together, they are… X&Y?

The union of opposites that Chris represents as Messiah?

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

Chris Martin is God!!

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

Technicaly he’s the ‘God head’. Or that is what he represents. God itself has no form, or it has to be all forms.

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

I met him once by the stage door after a concert and when I touched him I said, “Oh God, Oh God!…”, and he looked at me and said, “I’m not God. I am just a man.”

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

The whole day I felt as if I was lead by a strange sort of energy. I don’t know what or how to explain…, kind of like how I stumbled across this website. The whole Coldplay “Experience”, and where it can take you…. call me “crazy”, but I feel there is definitely “something” of a spiritual nature about Chris Martin, and within us all if we get in “touch” with “it”. I have read “The Da Vinci Code”, and rave about it. My favorite movie is Titanic (that goes deep)… , weird coincidences they scare me. This Web site is great! It’s funny and it’s entertaining. My opinion when I first came across it was kind of like that post with the point by point negative comments… for about a split second, and then my mind opened to the amazing possibilities of life. I think Apple is a great name. I believe to have named her Apple, Gwyneth and “He”(lol) had strong spiritual reasons… or it probably just felt “right”. I remember at the time thinking, “Did he read “The Da Vinci Code”?” lol

Re: Da Vinci’s Code

Suzie, you have felt it! Epiphany! I am so happy for you.

You must join the church! If what you said about the concert is true, you may already be on the way to Sainthood!

Thank you for the invitation I feel blessed

Coldplay’s List of Band Rules off 60 Minutes

60minutes.jpg

Coldplay were profiled on 60 Minutes last week, which included a tour around their studio. At one point Chris gestured to a list of band rules, and the camera panned around quickly to show a flash of a piece of paper stuck to the wall.

The CoCM recorded the show on our front-loading VCR and by cleverly using the “pause” button, we have been able to decode and transcribe the list for you. All hail!

  1. Albums no longer than 42 minutes - means we have to write less stuff
  2. We made poverty history. Fair Trade and all that is going well. What’s next? LET’S CURE CANCER!!!1!
  3. Never mention that Chris is going bald ;¬)
  4. While we’re at it, dont mention the “messiah” thing. We don’t want to piss off the Islams. Plus, it really annoys Gwyneth.
  5. Only rip off Radiohead on marketing ideas from now on, IE offering free downloads etc. In Rainbows was rubbish, anyway.
  6. Also, Keane have ruined the falsetto/piano thing forever. Sing in lower voice and maybe try strings or something instead?
  7. Remember the rhythm/drums - less Oasis, more Level 42.
  8. Computers are not recording aids. But they do run the backing tapes we use at gigs, but no-one’s noticed yet SO KEEP IT TO OURSELVES!!
  9. Make the production brilliant, the songs classics and the whole thing totally original. Don’t think anyone’s tried that before.

Credit Crunch Chris

market-crash.jpgThe financial crisis that is sweeping the world has affected us all, and of course, Coldplay are no exception.

“None of us really ever got into shares so we’re lucky,” laughed Chris Martin. “We can tell you every Talking Heads b-side but we can’t tell you how pork bellies are doing!” What they did buy into was land. Mount Messiah, their private mountain in Colorado, has seen frequent visits from Drummer Guy Champion and bassist Will Berryman this hunting season, as they attempt to put food on their familes’ tables without breaking the bank. “We’ve been hunting bear and racoon,” laughs handsome Berryman, “And collecting eagle eggs.” But bandmate (and vegetarian) Martin is no good with a gun, it seems. “Last time he was here, he panicked and shot the face off a rare rattlesnake.”

The Financial Downturn has sent EMI’s share value into freefall. This is the reason that Coldplay seem determined to issue a CD every six months from now on, as they are currently EMI’s only profit-making act. Katy Perry’s bill for vintage makeup alone runs into the tens of thousands of dollars. The Credit Crunch is also the reason that Viva la Vida had only 10 tracks and Prospekt’s March was fleshed out with remixes. They’re expecting to sell fewer albums and tickets as people begin to run out of money for non-essentials. And while there were still a few expensive seats left at some of the shows, the cheaper ones were all sold out.

mansion.jpgMartin has been performing solo for a lot of the publicity apperances recently, probably to save a few thousand dollars on hotel bills and roadie payments. He might be married to a Hollywood star, but unlike John Travolta, he can’t fly himself to his interviews! On the other hand, his son’s not dead.

Asked whether his house prices had plummeted, Martin said: “Only the same as yours!” Perhaps if we all had his money, we’d be flippant too.

But if we were Chris Martin, we’d be messiahs too! And as our messiah, Chris has a responsibility to lead us all out of recession. Here’s what he’d tell us (probably):

  1. Don’t worry. Chris never worries about money, but every time he goes to the bank, lo and behold, there’s plenty there!
  2. Don’t buy shares! Government bonds offer a far less risky long-term return.
  3. Save where you can. Why not take a chartered flight to the concert? Or maybe, hire an immigrant as your personal chef?
  4. Why not sew your own stage clothes out of old Adam & the Ants costumes and your dad’s wedding suit?
  5. Ultimately, Love is all that matters. Plus Charity. And maybe Art.

Viva la Vida - the TRUE meaning revealed!

delacroix.jpgThe lyrics to the title song of Coldplay’s 2008 album, Viva la Vida, has left fans scratching their heads. The religious imagery was obvious enough, but the meaning of the song has remained obscure. But the CoCM has once again saved the day. Like a puzzle worthy of Leonardo da Vinci, Dan Brown or Tomb Raider, the song has revealed its secrets. Chris Martin is once again encoding hidden knowledge in the songs.

The big clue is in the album cover - by the artist Delacroix, it depicts the French Revolution. A revolution of the cross (de-la-croix) in France… Viva La Vida is the story of the shadowy secret society, the Priory of Sion. Previously, this information was only available in obscure books like Holy Blood, Holy Grail and Da Vinci’s Code, but now, the CoCM is PUBLISHING THE TRUTH.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word

The original king is King David, the King who united Israel and Judea and wrote the Psalms. The line he founded was seen as the legitimate line of Jewish kings. One of his notable descendants was Jesus.

Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

Now the line is no longer in power, and has had to go underground.

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies’ eyes
Listened as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king

The line first reappeared in medieval France. The Merovingians ruled from 486 to 751, when their rule was dramatically overthrown.

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand

The castles of the Merovingians are legendary. They include Montsegur, Mont St Michele, Roslyn Chapel, Buckingham Palace, the White House, the Taj Mahal and probably the pyramids too.

Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

Lot, whose wife was turned to a pillar of salt, was a nephew of the Patriarch, Abraham. In other words, the authority for the Merovingians comes from the line of Abraham himself.

 I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

Can this be anything except a reference to the Catholic Church? A faith founded in Jerusalem co-opted bythe militaristic Roman Empire, who actively evangelise throughout the world?

For some reason I can’t explain
Once you’d gone there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

With the end of the Merovingian rule, the bloodline went underground. They were forced to encode their doctrines in double meanings and codes in bizarre, obscure and apparently meaningless publications such as Les Dossiers Secret and the Daily Mail. Yet they were never able to explain the reason for the importance of the bloodline.

It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in

holy-blood-holy-grail.jpg The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail was first published in 1982, and brought the Priory of Sion to the general public’s attention for the first time. Pierre Plantard, the alleged head of the order, claimed that the Priory of Sion existed to protect and promote the bloodline of the Merovingians. Moreover, Plantard was the Merovingian aire, and therefore the rightful king of France. And as a descendant of the Merovingians, he was also a descendant of Jesus.

Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn’t believe what I’d become

The claims were widely criticised as a hoax, although the evidence was strong. Others claimed that Plantard wasn’t capable of coming up with such an elaborate hoax, and so that he had to be a front man, a puppet for those actually in control of the Priory.

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?

Pierre Plantard came under a great deal of scrutiny. Many doubted his political agenda, and others doubted that he was capable of such an elaborate and detailed hoax. Yet few could doubt that his story resonated and had an unusual number of connections to established historical fact.

I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
I know St Peter won’t call my name

Because these ideas are contrary to the doctrines of the faith founded upon Saint Peter’s name - Catholicism.

jesus.jpgNever an honest word

Because everything has to be hidden in code, like the lyrics of this song.

But that was when I ruled the world.

Viva la Vida - “long live the life”, the living blood of Jesus Christ, the Life, the Truth and the Way.

A.K.A… Chris Martin.
