Fun.. but don’t go too far
Oke guys.
I’m like a huge fan of coldplay and stuff.
And i see the fun side of your website.
But don’t take it too far.
Chill out and get a life.
Go out and love.
Have a nice day!

Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
You don’t get it. It’s deadly serious. In a way…
Decipher the codes!
“and I’m not gonna stand and wait
not gonna leave it until it’s much too late
oh on a platform i’m gonna stand and sing
that I’m nothing on my own
and I love you please come home
my song is love, is love unknown
and I’ve got to get that message home”
- A Message by Chris Martin
Heirophant
Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
Yeah, Garlic - just think of all the lyrics where Chris talks about puzzles and codes to be solved -
“the sign that I couldn’t read
or the light that I couldn’t see
some things you have to believe
but others are puzzles, puzzling me” (Speed of Sound)
“Do you feel like a puzzle, you can’t find your missing piece?” (Talk)
“Under the surface trying to break through
Deciphering the codes in you
I need a compass, draw me a map” (Square One)
…and the puzzle code on the cover of x&y.
So what is the answer? THE CHURCH OF CHRIS MARTIN!
Garlic Host
Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
And it’s not like the puzzles are that hard.
Even the bible has its Song of Songs that clearly combine eartly and divine love, or at least this is how it’s interpreted by most.
Now check again CM’s lyrics. Many claim he’s singing simple lovesongs to his girlfriend, wife or kids but it really doesn’t make sense that way:
“oh on a platform i’m gonna stand and sing”
Chris says he’s on stage because of…
“that I’m nothing on my own”
to tell he cannot live without his wife?? C’mon!
“and I love you please come home”
that he misses her?? But then check this:
“my song is love, is love unknown”
love ‘unknown’?? A secret lover? This makes no sense if he’s singing to his wife or anyone people know. It’s a ‘hidden’ love, an ‘occult’ one.
“and I’ve got to get that message home”
This last bit has so many possible meanings that I cannot start listing them here.
Bono has many lyrics like this, mixing love poetry with biblical passages and mystical or religious state of minds.(’she moves in mysterious ways’, ‘who’se gonna ride your wild horses’). And surprise surprise U2 is Coldplays ‘great example’.
Garlic Host
Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
Forgot to mention.
First the phrase: “please come home”
then: “get that message home”.
So who is at home now and who is away? Again this is classic gnostic thinking, the wandering ‘lost sheep’, which is in itself ‘message’ (DNA) or also called Sophia in certain traditions.

Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
Another great post, Garlic
Whenever CM sings about home (a.k.a. Clocks) he means his spiitual home, the Kingdom Of Heaven. He struggles to return to that state of being himself (”How long do I have to climb/Upon the side of this mountain of mine?”) and to lead us all there with him. Therefore, he is more of a Bohdisatva than a Jesus figure, who lets face it, just buggered off after the ressurection.
Love Unknown - he is referring to the love between Jesus and the Magdalene, which is unknown in the canonical Gospels, but is writ large in the Gnostic Gospels, such as the Gospel of Judas, or the Gospel of Mary, mentioned in Da Vincis Code.

Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
Garlic and Heiro, yep, bullseye.
“Whenever CM sings about home (a.k.a. Clocks) he means his spiitual home, the Kingdom Of Heaven.”
to this I say:
“Oh take me back to the STAR.”
(if you listen carefully to The Scientist there is no “T” sound at the end when he supposively says “take me back to the start”, more accurately he is saying “take me back to the STAR” …look at the stars, look how they shine for you, etc. Star being the source, the morning star, infinite love/consciousness, etc, etc, etc…This I think is why coldplay have never published any official lyrics, then it would be too obvious.
Garlic Host
Re: Fun.. but don’t go too far
Garlic wrote about Coldplay’s song Message:
“my song is love, is love unknown
Love to the loveless shown
And it goes on
You don’t have to be alone
love ‘unknown’?? A secret lover? This makes no sense if he’s singing to his wife or anyone people know. It’s a ‘hidden’ love, an ‘occult’ one.”
Some evidence of CM’s inspiration one can find in the source of this bit of lyric, which I didn’t realize before. It’s taken from Samuel Crossman’s hymn from 1664:”My song is love unknown, My Savior’s love to me, Love to the loveless shown”.
So Chris leaves out the “My Savior’s love to me” and quotes this Christian hymn. Now Coldplay is not known to be a Christian band, so what drives CM to put all these things in the lyrics? A closet Christian? Or someone who went deeper to the core of Christianity, like the Gnostics, someone who entered the light himself and was “send back” to us to tell about it mixing new and old words?

Da Vinci’s Code
Hey Chris-heads!
The movie of Da Vincis Code is out this week, and I just wondered what you guys thought about it?
Personally, I think theirs a lot of symbolism in that book!! The characters were really well drawn, but I sometimes found the vocabulary a little difficult.
Have you ever considered, that there might be a code buried in it? He says that Jesus and Mary Magdalane had kids - one boy, one girl - but obviously, that’s not true, so maybe it’s not really Jesus at all. Maybe its… Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow!
Seriously - is Dan Brown a Chris-head? And what about Richie from Happy Days?!

Re: Da Vinci’s Code
Nice theory, Heiro!
I’m looking forward to seeing the film - only so I can annoy Catholics!!!

Re: Da Vinci’s Code
I still have to watch it.. soon! But I know most of the speculative research underlying Dan Browns book.
Dan Brown really made a mess with jumping on the wrong train with Priory de Sion which is cleary a fraud or deception of some kind.
The real story of Christ is way more mind-boggling.
I do think CM and GP are some incarnation of what I’d call the “christ & mary pattern”. An archetypal role that needs a spotlight combined with deep divine inspiration. CM has it all!
The secret has been kept since thousands of years from the people who wouldn’t understand. The Jesus story was a gigantic ‘hit’ in the ‘pop culture’ back then, performed and written by the same Spirit that moves now Chris Martin.

Technicaly he’s the ‘God head’. Or that is what he represents. God itself has no form, or it has to be all forms.

Re: Da Vinci’s Code
The whole day I felt as if I was lead by a strange sort of energy. I don’t know what or how to explain…, kind of like how I stumbled across this website. The whole Coldplay “Experience”, and where it can take you…. call me “crazy”, but I feel there is definitely “something” of a spiritual nature about Chris Martin, and within us all if we get in “touch” with “it”. I have read “The Da Vinci Code”, and rave about it. My favorite movie is Titanic (that goes deep)… , weird coincidences they scare me. This Web site is great! It’s funny and it’s entertaining. My opinion when I first came across it was kind of like that post with the point by point negative comments… for about a split second, and then my mind opened to the amazing possibilities of life. I think Apple is a great name. I believe to have named her Apple, Gwyneth and “He”(lol) had strong spiritual reasons… or it probably just felt “right”. I remember at the time thinking, “Did he read “The Da Vinci Code”?” lol

Okay, I don’t want to say to much about this one, other than that I think it’s possibly the GREATEST THREAD EVER!!1! It may be the longest post I’ll ever make, so I’ve added a break, but I truly urge you to read it in full. It builds and builds and gets even better as you go along. I stress again, all of these posts are from genuine people (but I think RealCMFan and Shiva might be the same person).
Thanks to Garlic Host, SALTS, Petra and all the others who contributed to this (ahem) “debate”. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Okay. I’m going to break this down for you.
1) Coldplay is NOT a religious band.
2) The subliminal messages in Coldplay’s lyrics are NOT religious.
3) Keep religion in REAL churches.
4) Be a fan without being so **** ridiculous.
5) Do yourselves all a favor and get rid of this site before anyone else sees it.
6) All you’re doing is giving non-Coldplay fans a reason to make fun of Coldplay fans.
7) The grammar on this site is despicable.
You’re making a mockery of a brilliant band.
9) Do as Chris says, and “Open up your eyes”.
10) Jesus would be ashamed of you.

Feb 18th, 2006 - 10:57 AM Re: I really hope this site is a joke…
1) Coldplay is NOT a religious band.
Corporate religion has failed the human race. Coldplay is about spiritual awakening and transformation through the medium of music. Listening to Coldplay stimulates gnostic awareness and ‘remembering’, in the Socratic sense.
2) The subliminal messages in Coldplay’s lyrics are NOT religious.
Agreed. See above.
3) Keep religion in REAL churches.
REAL churches only mimic the Godhead. They are rational analogies to the infinite inner-light of the divine mind. Coldplay is just a vessel for higher-thinking, gnostic awareness, they are by no means exclusive to it.
4) Be a fan without being so **** ridiculous.
I know you are, but what am I??
5) Do yourselves all a favor and get rid of this site before anyone else sees it.
Then how would others learn of the treasures hidden within the music of Coldplay? Without ears to listen, are others lost? I wont speak for the site-owners, but I believe they might think it cowardly to split at this point.
6) All you’re doing is giving non-Coldplay fans a reason to make fun of Coldplay fans.
Non-Coldplay fans are self-hating by definition.
7) The grammar on this site is despicable.
Some people cannot properly speak when the spirit moves them. Should we punish these people??
You’re making a mockery of a brilliant band.
You clearly do not understand.
9) Do as Chris says, and “Open up your eyes”.
Chris also says, “Brothers and Sisters, Unite!”. Your attempt to create a schism within the community is noted. Your failure to understand the message of Coldplay is duly noted and speaks volumes about the quality of your spiritual mind.
“They spun a web”, for you too… perhaps, someday, you’ll understand the songs, perhaps not. It matters little in the end.
“We live in a beautiful world”, after all.
10) Jesus would be ashamed of you.
How would you know???

Feb 18th, 2006 - 8:04 PM Re: Re: I really hope this site is a joke…
Please do not attempt to assume that my intelligence is as limited as it sounded in my last post. I was simply lowering my standards in order to speak a common language with these extremist Christians; I therefore apologize. Truthfully, my views are almost identical to yours.
However, I do not agree with this query of yours:
“Then how would others learn of the treasures hidden within the music of Coldplay?”
I believe the only way for others to truely experience the spiritual awakening of Coldplay is to listen to the music themselves. Period. Something so personal should be kept personal. If a person’s inner eye is so blind that they cannot see let alone understand the message of this music, then why try and convert them? There are enough tainted Christian beliefs as it is without counting “door-to-door” disciples. Some people were simply not meant for such things (unless I have misunderstood you, of course).
Yes, feel free to discuss the brilliance of the composers, but I will not stand for a website which claims they saw Chris Martin speak to them as the new Messiah while they were most likely under the effect of a dental anesthetic.
What I fail to understand is why you waste your time humoring these people when you have already agreed that Coldplay is not a religious band. Why do you degrade yourself?

Bit late. 15600 counts as someone else, I think.
6) All you’re doing is giving non-Coldplay fans a reason to make fun of Coldplay fans.
It’s not all I’m doing at all. I’m spreading the word of Chris Martin. I’m raising awareness, that BAD THINGS STILL HAPEN TO NICE PEOPLE.
7) The grammar on this site is despicable.
Maybe, but at least I can spell “dispicable”.
You’re making a mockery of a brilliant band.
If you think their a mockery, they must be doing it themselves. Cos I don’t think they are.
9) Do as Chris says, and “Open up your eyes”.
He also sung, “I wanna live in a wooden house”, but I bet you don’t.
10) Jesus would be ashamed of you.
He’d be ****** off, yeah, cos he’s not the Messiah anymore. Chris Martin is.

What would Chris Martin think if he saw your site? That’s the biggest criticism thrown at the Church of Chris Martin by the UNBELIEVING HEATHENS (like the hated COLDPLAYING.COM). He wouldn’t want to be treated like a god, they say! He would think you guys were creepy!
But would he? What if Chris Martin saw the Church of Chris Martin website and liked it, enough to write something in the Forum?
Did it really happen? Well, just maybe…
It all started like this:

Back in the day, the Forum for the Faithful was where THE CONVERTED communicated with THE CHURCH. Problem was, it was a bit detatched from the rest of the site, and the software was outdated and ugly. So, when the Church of Chris Martin became a blog, the Forum was shut down.
But some of the threads were too good to lose forever. So, in the first of an ongoing series, we present Forum Classics #1.
All of the posts are complete and unedited and genuine. Heirophant is me, everyone else is who they claim to be, as far as I know.
So, without further ado, this one, dating from 2005 -

Oct 5, 05 - 1:16 AM your distressing site
this is the most ridiculous site I have ever had the misfortune of coming across. It is an insult to Coldplay and the other good bands you are openly slandering. You clearly have a mindset about what makes good music, and had you taken the time to listen to some of these bands (aka oasis) you may be more tolerant.
Heirophant
Oct 6th, 2005 - 1:11
Firstly, “a.k.a” means “also known as”, and is generally used to signify an alias. So, if you are actually saying that all “other good bands” are Oasis under an alias, then I think I am safe in saying that you are incorrect.
(Although you could be right about McFly, as they also want to be the Beatles, DESPERATELY. I haven’t heard them actually steal one of their songs or titles though, so I guess that they’re not Oasis.)
Secondly, we have slandered no-one. If we choose to believe Chris Martin is the Messiah, it is a matter of personal faith! Can you prove that he is NOT the Messiah? If you can, there’s a fortune to be made - prove that Mohammed was not the prophet and make a mint off the born-again Christians!
PS - as “the most ridiculous site” that you’ve “ever had the misfortune of coming across”, thanks for reading the whole thing and even contributing to the forum! Cheers!

Nice Coldplay ********* site…
I’m not a ‘****in’ student’ as the wise and powerful Liam Gallagher so profoundly put it. In fact, I’m from a not so different part of Manny as Liam himself. I’ve met and brawled with lots of mindless ******* like him. I’ve even twated a few of them, with much pleasure, I must admit. All they do is walk around happy being nothing, talking ****e all day long to carbon copies of themselves and trying hard to impress their little twelve year old ‘wannabe-thems’ that hang on their every ‘****’ and ‘bollocks’.
Yep, I’m from there. The same background as Liam. He’s an immature little git. The sad thing is, he doesn’t know it. And probably never will. His brain’s been scorched by coke and speed. His sad attempt to emmulate John Lennon can only be laughed at.
To take the **** out of someone like Chris Martin in this day and age can only be down to the work of some mindless ****** like Liam with somekind of computer knowledge that where only God himself knows came from.
The world is in a sorry state, wake up and smell the gunsmoke boys, the world needs noble people like Chris Martin, and less tossers with no worldly experience or suffering to make pathetic and time wasting websites.
Thank you.
